Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Resume Notebook ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Resume Notebook is a resume builder with a free plan and a paid Pro subscription that lets you store career data once and build tailored resumes for each job application. The Service includes guest mode (browser-only storage) and authenticated mode (cloud storage with an account).

User Accounts

You may use the Service without creating an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. You must provide a valid email address for account creation.

Subscriptions and Billing

Resume Notebook offers a paid Pro subscription at $9 USD per month.

  • Merchant of record. Payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh), acting as the merchant of record. Your purchase is made from Polar, which handles payment processing, sales tax/VAT collection, and billing support. Card details never touch Resume Notebook's servers.
  • Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until canceled.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Subscription (via the customer portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro access until then. Your data is never deleted when a subscription ends — your account simply returns to the free plan.
  • Refunds. If you're unhappy, contact us within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it — no hoops.
  • Upgrade codes. Access granted by an upgrade code is independent of paid subscriptions and is not affected by subscription changes.

Your Content

You retain ownership of all career data, resumes, and other content you create using the Service. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use the Service to distribute malware or harmful content

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resume Notebook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
